RAIDERS’ MOVE TO LAS VEGAS FROM OAKLAND APPROVED BY NFL OWNERS

The Oakland Raiders will soon be no more.

On Monday, NFL owners approved the franchise’s move to Las Vegas at the league’s annual spring meeting by a vote of 31-1, according to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole. ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed the report, noting the Miami Dolphins were the lone “no” vote.

Raiders owner Mark Davis needed 24 “yes” votes for the proposal to be ratified.

Davis released a statement on the decision, per Will Brinson of CBS Sports:

Schiff, Pelosi Call On Nunes To Recuse Himself From House Russia Investigation:

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House’s Russia investigation, called on Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes to recuse himself from the investigation — widening a stunning partisan split at the top of the chamber’s investigation.

“The Chair of the House Intelligence has a serious responsibility to the Congress and to the country,” Pelosi said in a statement to CNN Monday evening. “Chairman Nunes’ discredited behavior has tarnished that office. (House) Speaker (Paul) Ryan must insist that Chairman Nunes at least recuse himself from the Trump-Russia investigation immediately. That leadership is long overdue.”

‘Bates Motel’ Slashes Into ‘Psycho’ In Final Season:

There’s a fine line between creative risk-taking and sacrilege when dealing with well-known properties. While “Bates Motel” might not have committed the latter, it has seemingly sacrificed the right to bill itself as a prequel to “Psycho.”
The A&E series always appeared to come with a built-in expiration date, facing the danger of running out of real estate as it chewed through story related to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 horror classic.
The contemporary setting also made the proceedings less spooky, what with cellphones and other modern devices that alter the dynamics of, say, being alone in the basement with a murderer dressed like his mom.
Still, the announcement of a fifth and final season that would overlap with the movie actually created some excitement: after an ill-advised remake, this offered an alternate window into the story, including how these events unfolded from the perspective of Norman/Norma Bates

He is Talib Alzamel, a 45-year-old Syrian refugee who arrived here last summer with his wife and five children. He can’t speak much English, but neither can most of the 40 refugees who work at Sterling Technologies, a plastic molding company based near the shores of Lake Erie. They earn $8-14 an hour.
